Illustrious (Lilly) is a very tall, leggy, elegant coming two-year old by our imported 16.2 Dutch stallion, Juss For The Taste, out of a 16.2 Thoroughbred mare. Lilly's height at 18 months is 15.3. Her expected mature height is between 16.2 and 16.3+ Illustrious is an extraordinary filly combining superb athleticism with a GREAT temperment-just like her dad-willing, forward, calm, alert, steady, and very sweet.

Lilly's first sibling, the two yr old 'Sir Isaac' was the '06 USDF Gold Medal In-Hand Champion for 2 year olds. In 2006 he was also awarded the AWS Year End National Gold Medal for highest scoring 2 yr old colt. Illustrious combines her brother's beautiful movement, conformation and faultless temperament with greater height and refinement.



Lilly has gorgeous, floating movement-- a lovely walk, a gravity-defying airy trot and a huge, scopey, well balanced canter. Her uphill conformation is beautifully balanced, especially for a still-growing-fast youngster, with a free shoulder, well set neck, perfectly straight legs, and great depth and strength through her back and hind quarters, making her eminently suitable for a long, sound, successful career at the upper levels of sport.



The photo you see here of Illustrious' truly spectacular jumping ability was taken the one time we managed to catch her in the process of taking the shortcut out to her field. Her scope (and attitude) speaks for itself.

Lilly has been handled daily since birth and is experienced with farrier, bathing, trailering, clipping and trails - she's been lightly ponied from a baby-sitter horse through rivers, over bridges and along forest trails, and unfailingly shows her strong sensibility, fearlessness, and willingness to please.



As a brilliant competition prospect--with a supremely amateur suitable temperament -- for dressage, hunter/jumpers, or 3-Day, she will be impossible to beat.
