Juss For The Taste

1991 Dutch Warmblood stallion by SAMBER out of ALIA

Juss for the Taste is a 16.2 hand black and white Dutch Warmblood stallion by the legendary Dutch pinto stallion, Samber, out of the Dutch tobiano mare, Alia. He was imported from Holland as a two year-old. His sire, Samber, is the only Dutch stallion of pinto coloring ever to be approved by the KWPN in Holland.

Samber, by the Keur Preferant Dutch Warmblood Approved stallion Pericles, out of the black tobiano Preferant Dutch mare Tina D, is known worldwide for his tremendous versitility, athletic scope, and extraordinary disposition (he received the rare perfect '10' for temperament in the Hundred Day Stallion Testing). Samber competed successfully in Grand Prix dressage and Z-level (British Grade A) show jumping in Europe and continued his success as a stallion, siring such well-known names as the pinto Oldenburg Grand Prix dressage stallion, Art Deco, the champion hunter stallion, Domino, the international 4-star rated event horse, West Star, Sambuco B, the successful show jumper United Colors...the list goes on.

Juss for the Taste shows extraordinary form over fences, effortlessly free-jumping over 6'. His rideability is as good as it gets - always forward, always calm, virtually spook-proof and child-safe to handle. He combines tremendous hind end power and back strength with reach, suppleness, and natural balance. Within a few brief months of being started under saddle, he was scoring in the seventies in Training Level dressage and had qualified for the Northwest USDF Finals. With another few months of training he was working effortlessly at 3rd/4th Level, with no limits on his talent for the upper levels. Juss is the ultimate 'natural'.

Like his sire, his temperament is perfect. He is forward, willing, always cheerful, always patient. He can be ridden and handled by a beginner walk-trot child or trained hard by the serious professional, and he is always willing to give more.
